The hotel's full name is The Royal Corin Thermal Water Spa & Resort. Its own directions page puts it 4.5 km along the main road toward the volcano, and Travel Weekly says 4.2 km. TripAdvisor places it in its five-star class and Travel Weekly in its Superior First Class. That short distance makes it one of the closest large hotels to the centre on Route 142.

Getting to The Royal Corin from SJO and Liberia
From SJO airport (San José)
Out of SJO the road heads west on Route 1 before crossing the mountains to the northern lowlands on Route 702 or Route 141. Our fare table gives approx. 3 h to the La Fortuna zone. The Royal Corin is only about 4.5 km past the centre, one of the first hotels on the road toward the volcano.
From Liberia airport (LIR)
From Liberia the trip runs through Cañas and Tilarán and along Lake Arenal, then down Route 142 toward town. Coming from the west you pass most of the Route 142 hotels first; The Royal Corin is near the end of that stretch, a few minutes before La Fortuna. The drive is approx. 2 h 45 min in our fare table.
