The resort's own website measures its position from the park in the centre of La Fortuna: 4.8 km to the north-west, toward the volcano side of town. TripAdvisor lists it in its four-star class. It is less known than the big names on Route 142, which is why we give it its own page: travellers booked here need the same clear information on fares and roads.

From SJO airport (San José)
The drive from SJO takes Route 1 west, then crosses the mountains on Route 702 through San Ramón or Route 141 through Zarcero, reaching La Fortuna after approx. 3 h in our fare table. Paradise Hot Springs is under 5 km from the park, so the last leg adds very little. VIP transfers go over Vara Blanca for waterfall stops.
From Liberia airport (LIR)
From Liberia you follow the Inter-American Highway to Cañas, turn inland to Tilarán and drive the north shore of Lake Arenal, then come down toward La Fortuna from the west. It is approx. 2 h 45 min in our fare table; the resort is close to the end of the trip.
