Nayara Gardens shares its site with two sister hotels, Nayara Springs and Nayara Tented Camp. The Michelin Guide gives it two Keys, Forbes Travel Guide lists it as “Recommended” and Travel Weekly places it in its Deluxe class. We don't describe rooms or facilities we haven't checked; the hotel's own website is the place for that.
What we can tell you is how to get there. The complex is on Route 142, the paved road that leaves La Fortuna toward Arenal Volcano National Park and Lake Arenal, and it is inside the La Fortuna fare zone. Transfers to Nayara Gardens cost exactly the same as to a hotel in the centre of town.

Getting to Nayara Gardens from SJO and Liberia
From SJO airport (San José)
After immigration and customs, your driver meets you outside the SJO terminal. The first hour is on Route 1 through the Central Valley; then the road climbs over the mountains to the northern lowlands and La Fortuna, approx. 3 h of driving in our fare table. Nayara Gardens is the last short leg: about 9 km west of the centre on Route 142. If you prefer to see La Paz waterfall on the way, book VIP and we take the Vara Blanca road.
From Liberia airport (LIR)
Landing in Guanacaste is a good fit for this hotel. The Liberia route follows Lake Arenal's north shore and then drops toward La Fortuna on Route 142, which passes the Nayara complex before reaching town. In our fare table the trip is approx. 2 h 45 min; with VIP we stop at the lake lookouts and Café y Macadamia on the way.
