Dining is at Playitas, on the beach, and at Mirador, which looks over the national park. Fodor's mentions free cooking and coffee classes, nature walks and monkeys visiting the breakfast area.
The access road is the detail to know. The hotel gives its route as 4.6 km along Route 618 from the junction and then a right turn, and Fodor's says that the road winds up to the property and that guests are brought up from the base of the hill by an electric golf cart. The same review warns that the paths and stairs inside the resort are very steep. From Liberia airport (LIR)
From Liberia the journey is long, and our fare table gives approx. 5 h. It suits guests who have finished a stay in Guanacaste and are heading south. The fare is $375 for up to five passengers, $420 for up to nine and $505 for up to twelve.
