Getting to Arenal Paraíso Resort & Spa from SJO and Liberia
From SJO airport (San José)
The SJO transfer covers Route 1 across the Central Valley and one of the two mountain roads, Route 702 through San Ramón or Route 141 through Zarcero, to reach La Fortuna in approx. 3 h according to our fare table. Arenal Paraíso is 6–8 km further west on Route 142. With VIP, you stop at La Paz waterfall and the Cinchona lookout on the way.
From Liberia airport (LIR)
From Liberia you ride south to Cañas, up to Tilarán and along the north shore of Lake Arenal. Route 142 then brings you down toward La Fortuna from the west, and Arenal Paraíso comes before the town. In our fare table it is approx. 2 h 45 min.
