The service
Your private transfer from Liberia Airport (LIR) to Playa Flamingo
Landing after a long flight is not the moment to piece a trip together. With us the van is reserved for your party only, the driver follows your flight number, helps with the luggage and drives you directly to Playa Flamingo. No strangers, no detours to other people's hotels.
Prices are per vehicle, not per passenger, and nothing is added later: taxes, tolls, fuel, insurance, bottled water, WiFi and child seats come with every booking. Go Standard for the fastest trip or VIP (+$80) to stop along the way.
We confirm the pickup details with you when you book. With approximately 1 h 45 min of driving ahead, plan on arriving at the hotel in the afternoon or early evening if you land around midday.
Your destination
Arriving in Playa Flamingo
Playa Flamingo is a curve of pale, almost white sand on the north Guanacaste coast, framed by a rocky headland covered in villas. It is one of the more upscale beach communities in the region, with calm water in the dry season, sunset views and boat trips, sportfishing and catamaran cruises leaving from the area.
Hotels include Margaritaville Beach Resort Flamingo and Flamingo Beach Resort & Spa, and many visitors stay in the condominiums and houses on the hill. Potrero, Brasilito and Conchal are only a few minutes away, so it is easy to explore the neighbouring beaches.
The final kilometres follow the coast road from the Huacas area through Brasilito, past the entrance to Reserva Conchal, to Playa Flamingo. The headland of villas appears ahead just before the beach.

The route
What to expect on the drive
- Driving time
- approx. 1 h 45 min without stops (our fare table)
- Main roads
- Route 21 south-west through ranch country, then local roads around Huacas to the coast
- Last stretch
- From Huacas, the coast road through Brasilito to Flamingo
- Pickup point
- Just outside the terminal exit, with a name sign
From Huacas the road reaches the sea in a few kilometres. Flamingo, Potrero, Brasilito, Conchal and Las Catalinas sit close together along this stretch of coast, and Tamarindo and Hacienda Pinilla lie a little further south, so the last part of the drive is short whichever bay you are heading for.
